The British South Africa Police (BSAP) was one of the choice police forces in the British Commonwealth alongside the Royal Mounted Canadian Police (RCMP), Royal Hong Kong Police (RHKP), the Kenya Police, the Palestine Police and the Singapore Police. (The South African Police also served in Palestine, Kenya and Rhodesia.)
The BSAP also partook in the Anglo Boer War.
Many members of South Africa’s Security Forces served in Rhodesia and met members of the British South Africa Police, Rhodesian Light Infantry, Selous Scouts, PATU, Rhodesian Air Force, Rhodesian Army and members if Internal Affairs in Rhodesia.
