He was later transferred to Sydenham and Cato Manor areas. During his years of service, he faced significant social challenges and unrest. Despite the dangers, Officer Moodley remained steadfast in his duty, believing deeply in the importance of law, order, and community safety.

Over the course of his 35-year career, Nariansamy Moodley displayed extraordinary courage. He was shot three times in the line of duty and was also stabbed by criminals while serving in Durban. These life-threatening experiences never weakened his resolve. Instead, they reflected his willingness to put his own life at risk to protect others.
