I am attaching 2 x photos.

 The first is of my grand uncle:  Thomas Arthur Snelson (born 1908 Kimberley – married 1931 Krugersdorp – died 1967).

According to an elderly relative, Arthur was with the Mounted Police – unfortunately no further information other than his father, Thomas Snelson, bred horses for the Mounted Police.

Written on the reverse of the photo:

“Here I am alone with a cowboy hat which is part of our uniform.”

Do you have any records of Arthur Snelson perhaps?  If not, any idea where I might find records?

The second is an unknown family member.  Photo taken by J. Trim (Kimberley) who was active in Kimberley 1881 – 1894.  Possibly Kimberley Hussars.  Are you able to provide any further information?  Possible family names: Snelson / Collen.
