Transcript
“Devraj was born in Bank Road, Bellair, Durban, he was a sibling amongst 6 sisters and 3 brothers. He was a dedicated and passionate Sergeant in the police force for 41 years, which was a lifelong dream from a young age. He retired in the year 1991.
In 1963 he met his beloved wife who he only called Rani, “His Queen” at the morning market. They married the year they met and celebrated 58 years on February 10th 2022.
He has been blessed with 3 children, Nevendran, Ramona and Joash. All of whom followed suit and joined the police force.
Growing up, his kids watched him meticulously and proudly wear his uniform whilst carrying out his duties with the utmost respect and dignity. He was a warrior for Christ placed God before all else. He set a string example of being obedient to God before all else and all he did and with everyone he loved. He never missed the opportunity to come to God in the simplest way. Daily Debrah could be found on the patio speaking to God as a dear friend. His family extends by 2 daughters in law, Neeva and Desiree Naidoo and 5 grandchildren, the eldest Keshia Naidoo, Tyrone Floyd Govender, Kerusha Naidoo, Mikhai Lee Naidoo and the youngest Mitte Faith Naidoo whom he leaves to carry on with his legacy.
